Chillblains are inflammations of the skin, commonly affecting areas on the soles of the feet. It is caused by poor circulation generating local deficiencies, which in turn results in cellular damage to the skin. Arnica Arnica is a perennial herb, native to Central Europe. A tincture is traditionally used as a paint for chillblains when the skin is unbroken.
